Elija has served as the President of Research and Development at Mittelos Bioscience since its inception. He aims to expand and modernize the drug discovery capabilities at our facilities through the application of high throughput screening, combinatorial and medicinal chemistry, and structural biology.

Dr. Rom is an authority on genetics and genome mapping. His discoveries have helped advance the understanding and treatment of many genetic diseases. With his aid, Mittelos Bioscience has made major breakthroughs in the treatment of cancers, heredity diseases and infertility. Dr. Rom received his B.S. in Biology from Queens University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada and went on to receive his PhD in Molecular Genetics from USC. He is a member of the National Academy of Sciences and has received many awards and honors for his work and contribution to the Human Genome Project.

After her breakthrough research in the field of Fertility at Miami Central University Dr. Burke joined our team in 2001. Gaining international notoriety when she successfully impregnated a male field mouse, she quickly became a highly sought after researcher. Dr. Burke received her B.S. in Biology at Florida State University and went on to receive her PhD from Miami Central University in Fertility Medicine and continued working on her post-grad work as a lead researcher under acclaimed biologist Dr. Edmund Burke.

Our North American facility is located in scenic Multnomah County, Oregon; just outside of Portland. Since it was built in 1961 our research team has been leading the world in Fertility and Life Expectancy Sciences (or Re-animation, whichever you prefer).

Not only does Portland have a rich urban area with an outstanding public transportation system and some of the best microbreweries in the Northwest, but it also offers some of the most beautiful parks and recreation areas in the world. We often schedule group outings on the weekends for our hard working employees to relax; go hiking through the Boring Lava Field, rafting and kayaking on the Willamette River or go rock climbing in the beautiful Columbia River Gorge.

For those of you with families the Portland Public School district encompasses over 100 schools K-12 or consider some of the excellent private institutions including Jesuit High School or St. Mary's Academy.
