SÉRIE “UGLY BETTY”, QUE CONQUISTOU FÃS EM TODO O MUNDO, ESTRÉIA HOJE NO SBT
Grande destaque de audiência da TV americana, a série “Ugly Betty” estréia nesta quarta (02/07), às 22h30, logo após “Pantanal”, no SBT.
Esta série produzida por Salma Hayek (“Frida” e “Os Fugitivos”) é uma adaptação da novela colombiana "Yo Soy Betty la Fea" e arrematou fãs do mundo todo com a história da jovem Betty Soares, órfã de mãe, que mora com o pai, o Sr. Inácio, a sexy irmã Hilda e o sobrinho Justin!
A aparência de Betty não é o seu forte e chega a influenciar até mesmo na profissão. Em mais uma tentativa de conseguir um emprego, Betty vai à uma entrevista na famosa e badalada revista Mode. Aquele universo descolado e fashion a "dispensa" já na portaria... Para sua surpresa, ela recebe uma ligação do poderoso dono da revista, Sr. Bradford, que a contrata como secretária de seu mimado e mulherengo filho, Daniel.
Bradford vê em Betty sua "aliada" para tentar transformar o garotão num homem responsável, a quem pudesse confiar sua empresa.
A forte, inteligente, determinada e otimista Betty se valerá dos seus valores pra tentar conquistar os fúteis, superficiais e resistentes colegas de trabalho!

Aconteceu no Reino Unido, a série "Ugly Betty" serviu de inspiração para a estilista Patricia Field, de "Sex and the City", criar um visual especial para as garrafas de coca diet.
Em edição limitada, "The Betty Bottle" vem na cor rosa com imagens como a marca de batom deixada por um beijo, a estátua da liberdade, sapatos e, é claro, a coca-cola.
Em anexo vem um cartão no qual as mulheres, público alvo da campanha, podem escrever recadinhos. As garrafas estão à venda com exclusividade pela loja Selfridges ao preço de 1.29 libras.
A Coca-Cola é uma das patrocinadoras da série no Reino Unido, onde é exibida pelo Channel 4. Para caracterizar seus anúncios e vinculá-los à série, a Coca-Cola, através da Agência Mother, produziu cinco vinhetas para exibição da terceira temporada. Nelas, marionetes reproduzem personagens da série em situações típicas da trama. Confira no video abaixo.
