A comédia escrita por duas duplas - Lowell Ganz Babaloo Mandel e Joshua Sternin Jeffrey Ventimilia - acompanha um jogador de hóquei, Derek Thompson (The Rock), apelidado de fada-do-dente por seu hábito de desdentar oponentes com o taco. Derek merece uma lição, e o briguento jogador acaba escalado para servir de fada-do-dente de verdade por uma semana, com direito a asas, varinha de condão e saia de tule.
Julie Andrews, Ashley Judd, o skatista Ryan Sheckler e o gênio britânico Stephen Merchant (co-criador do The Office original) também estão no elenco. Michael Lembeck (do segundo e do terceiro Meu Papai é Noel) dirige. A estreia acontece em 22 de janeiro de 2010 nos EUA e no Brasil.
