Boardwalk Empire, série sobre Atlantic City criada por Martin Scorsese terá 11 episódios a partir de 2010, na HBO.
A série dramática fala sobre Atlantic City e o desenvolvimento de uma das mecas da jogatina dos EUA, adaptação para TV do livro Boardwalk Empire: The Birth, High Times and Corruption of Atlantic City, escrito por Nelson Johnson, tem também Terence Winter (Sopranos) como produtor, ao lado de Scorsese.
O protagonista, Nucky Johnson (Steve Buscemi), dirige um esquema de distribuição de bebidas, o que faz seu caminho cruzar com o ícone de Chicago Al Capone (Stephen Graham), entre outras figuras da política e da contravenção dos anos 1920, os tempos da Lei Seca. Paz de la Huerta, Michael Kenneth Williams, Dabney Coleman, Michael Pitt, Kelly Macdonald e Gretchen Mol Gretchen Mol também estão no elenco.
