O site Deadline Hollywood informou que Salma Hayek abandonou o elenco de Faster devido a incompatibilidades entre as agendas. A atriz deixou o projeto apenas uma semana antes do início das filmagens, o que fará com que os produtores se apressem para providenciar uma substituta.
Com data de estreia marcada para 19 de novembro, o longa dirigido por George Tillman Jr. ainda conta com Dwayne Johnson, Billy Bob Thornton, Maggie Grace e Oliver Jackson-Cohen no elenco.
Johnson viverá um homem que deseja vingar a morte de seu irmão, assinado dez anos antes em um assalto.
Nenhum nome foi cotado até então para substituir Hayek no elenco.

A vaga que Salma Hayek deixou em aberto quando se desligou do elenco de Faster já foi ocupada. De acordo com a Variety, Carla Gugino (Watchmen - O Filme) irá substituir a atriz.
Fazem parte do elenco Dwayne Johnson, Billy Bob Thornton, Maggie Grace e Oliver Jackson-Cohen. O filme é dirigido por George Tillman e as filmagens já começaram.
Faster conta a história de um ex-prisioneiro (Johnson) que decide vingar a morte do seu irmão com uma lista de pessoas que ele tem o objetivo de matar.
A previsão de lançamento é para novembro deste ano.
