Em comemoração da sua milésima publicação, a revista norte-americana Entertainment Weekly elaborou listas dos novos clássicos desde 1983 até aos dias de hoje.

As listas incluem os melhores filmes, programas de TV, livros, álbuns e etc, nos últimos 25 anos.

Na lista "New classics: TV – the 100 best shows from 1983 to 2008", Lost ocupa o 8º lugar, ao passo que na lista "25 New Classic TV Farewells", a morte de Charlie Pace (interpretado por Dominic Monaghan), no final da 3ª série de Lost, ocupa o 25º lugar.
